Load In Instructions: Wind Advisory through Sunday!

So we have quite a few newbies coming tomorrow… Welcome!

We are sold out with 110 Sellers and for those who have been to Los Feliz Flea, you know that we are limited to the number of cars we can get on the lot during load in so there can be a wait of 3 Min to 45 Min to get in. The slow down occurs when Sellers do not adhere to the guidelines found on theoddmarket.com/faq so please review these prior to entering. I am pasting them below as well.

ALL TENTS MUST BE WEIGHTED TOMORROW
OR YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE IT DOWN.

When there is a wind advisory, we require all tents to be weighted down. If they are not, they can cause serious injury or worse. Typically, there is not a requirement for weights although it is recommended BUT, when there is an advisory, you must weigh down your tents. No exceptions. 

We get a lot of people saying, “I never got instructions” but our system automatically sends a text message confirming your order with a link to the load-in page. If you did not get a text message, please email phillip@theoddmarket.com with your cell number so we can update the database.

The system also emails a confirmation e-ticket with the same link. The problem with the email is that a large percentage of the time it will wind up in Spam, Junk or Promotions Tab (Gmail) and the way to fix that is to whitelist us and I have the instructions below and a link to the blog post explaining.

WE ARE NOW LOADING IN AT 8AM INSTEAD OF 8:30 IN AN EFFORT TO SPEED THINGS UP.
BUT PLEASE NO EARLY LINE UPS OR THE NEIGHBORS WILL GET PISSED! 

LOAD IN AND FAQ

Seller should not arrive before 8:00am. At 8:00am we will open the Gate to the parking lot on Griffith Park Blvd which is the North Side of the school. This is the only gate to enter the Flea. 

Load-In is from 8:00-10:15. If you arrive after 10:15, we can give your space away and you will not receive a refund. All cars must be off the selling area by 10:45am.

Please BE PATIENT. The selling area is tight and the longer it takes for sellers to move their vehicle off the selling area, the longer the wait to get in. You will get in. Wait times in line can be 5 mins – 45 mins. 

We suggest parking on the street so we can leave the lot for customers.

Drive in and follow the parking lot along until you reach the check-in. Once you are checked-in, you will be directed up the ramp into the selling area where you will be assigned a space AND….

  1. Unload you vehicle First before popping up your tent or setting up your space.
  2. Park in the Assigned Parking area or on the street.
  3. Come back in and setup.

Do not set up while your vehicle is on the lot. The faster you unload and park, the faster we can get everyone in.

Pull out through the St. George Gate and park on the street or in the designated lot unless directed by staff to do otherwise.

LOAD OUT. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE IN UNTIL YOUR BOOTH IS BROKEN DOWN! This will make things move a lot smoother. 

Do not break down before 4pm. At 4, pack up FIRST. Please don’t pull your car in and then pack up as we are limited in space.

ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OFF THE LOT BY 5:45. 

IMPORTANT!

MASKS ARE REQUIRED AS SOON AS YOU DRIVE ON TO LAUSD PROPERTY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MASK ON (INCLUDING PASSENGERS) WHEN YOU PULL TO CHECK-IN, YOU MAY BE TURNED AWAY. WE HAVE A STRICT MASKS ON OVER NOSE AND MOUTH WHEN ON LAUSD PROPERTY. THEY CAN REVOKE OUR LEASE IF WE ARE CAUGHT NOT ENFORCING THIS REGULATION. 

Whitelist Emails! So they don’t go to spam.
