Everything is hand crafted in small batch orders using the highest quality organic, plant based products. We strive to be as eco-conscious as possible. Investing in our products is an investment in yourself and the earth.
Established in 2018, Takeout Order was born out of the necessity for self-deprecation. We know our weaknesses and shortcomings and aren't afraid to display them. Founder Dhanai Holtzclaw grew up a happy kid listening to sad music. He was a self-proclaimed emo geek surrounded by art, animation, technology, and punk-rock music. This created an outlook on life that would ultimately epitomize the culture that Takeout is trying to embody.
We are just a bunch of tattoo loving, head banging nerds watching cartoons and playing video games while drinking three beers and six cups of coffee. We welcome you to join us! For those who fear the judgement of dining alone, we are thinking of you. 🖤
My name is Veronique.
I create Jewellery with mainly Natural Material. My jewellery, not only adorns but brings out the inner core of who wears it, the essence of his/her being.
I started the journey, beading and assembling pieces together 20 years ago and slowly evolved into crystal. My strong connection with Nature sent me into the world of stones. At a time, in London, when they were used mostly polished, I started discovering them and I decided to use them in their raw form. The crystal universe is so vast and fascinating that once I immersed myself in it, I could not go back..... I discovered their beauty and healing powers. From that time, I have not stopped discovering, learning and designing.
I am trying to bring us back to Nature and most specifically redefine our lost connection to Nature.
The making of my work has evolved through the years. When I started buying stones, I was following the shapes and textures of the stones as they were and now I start the designing from scratch. The deep relationship between myself and the stone helps me create and bring back the essence of human nature...
Jenni Adishian is a Los Angeles native who was raised in a family of five as the littlest dish - the youngest of three sisters. From an early age, Jenni loved hunting for treasures in her mother’s closet, thrift stores and roaming the aisles of antiques at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. This is where her love for vintage began. The rush of finding that perfect piece for your home or wardrobe is her favorite feeling.
Having worked in the fashion industry for over six years, Jenni has seen first hand how easy it is to get caught up in throwaway trends and the need for something new. More and more these types of purchases left her feeling uninspired. So she created Little Dish Vintage to bring richness to the experience of shopping that is missed when buying mass and forgotten in fast fashion. Each collection is a curation of hand-picked pieces inspired by the Southwest, western culture, heritage fashion, and the thrill of the hunt…
We are collectors of unique vintage clothing, accessories and decor. Our collection is full of bright colors and vibrant patterns. We are driven by the belief that every piece tells a story and we are excited about the sustainability of recycling clothing.
Since 2013, Smoky Knights have elevated the energy of crowds with electric, ever-evolving indie rock.
They are regulars at Joshua Tree's legendary Pappy and Harriet's, and Jam in the Van described them as “the best thing we've heard come out of the valley." “Feels Right” is a groovy single that draws inspiration from dance party classics - and it's a blistering good time live!
The Active Set was formed by Los Angeles native Matthew Stolarz, fighting the dissatisfaction of continually playing in other people’s bands. Inspired by the energy and intelligence of post-punk, new wave, Britpop and emo, Stolarz had written an abundance of material that needed a proper home. Collaborating in the studio with producer Jason LaRocca, the first self-titled EP was created.
The band became regulars in the L.A. indie music scene. After a successful bout of touring the west coast they began work on their first album “11”. It was released to fantastic reviews including a feature in the L.A. Times, celebrating the album’s energy and eclecticism. The album also spawned three music videos, including the visceral “Famous For Dying”. They continued to support the album, traveling to SXSW and eventually touring with Neon Trees and AWOL Nation.
Back in L.A. the band started writing new material and continued playing up and down California, including Sunset Strip Music Festival where they were voted one of the “Top 5 bands at SSMF”. All focus went on finishing the EP "Lights". The single “Shut ’’Em Down” spent several months playing on KROQ Locals Only. The band continued touring regionally and played two sold out shows with Bloc Party prior to their appearance at FYF Fest.
With a new perspective, the band opted to scrap all their earlier demos and wrote a new EP from scratch, teaming up once again with producer Jason LaRocca. The EP "Everything Changes” (with the boisterous “Let’s Go Out Tonight” and emotional “Say Goodbye”) brought in a more diverse audience for the band. With the decision not to tour the EP, the band began work on a new full-length.
