Food trucks, vendors roll into bowling alley parking lot

Seal-OccidentalCollege

Pedestrians walking along Eagle Rock Boulevard Monday night likely noticed the smell of frying oil, warm cheese and curry wafting from the parking lot of All Star Lanes bowling alley. The band of aromas came from about eight food trucks ringing the lot. In the middle, vendors sold wares including jewelry, cake pops and clothing. A DJ set the tone with songs ranging from modern rock to Cajun blues. By 6:30 p.m.,

Odd Nights at the Autry? Yep, I said nights!

How great would it be to produce a breakthrough event in the heart of Griffith Park under the stars with great music, awesome pop up shops, booze and food? Man if you don’t say, hell yes then don’t read on.

Night-Markets-Sit-on-the-Grass

So let’s start off with the location. The Autry Lawn is ideally situated in the heart of Griffith Park. Located off the 134 and 5 freeways. Then let’s add in that we would have over 2000 parking spaces and we’d not charge a penny to park. And did I mention it would be a free monthly event? Come on man, if this is not making you stand up and cheer then stick with same ‘ole. I’m thinking 6pm -11pm. 15 Gourmet Food Trucks. Room for over 200 Pop Up shops. DJ’s and a locally featured band each month. Cocktails and blankets. Okay, that’s all I got. I’d love to hear from you on this. Comments below and help me create the coolest monthly Night Market in Los Angeles history.
